Therapy

The primary therapy we use is called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (or CBT). This type of therapy helps you to understand the thoughts you might be having about yourself, the world, and others, and how they link to your emotions and actions.

We also draw from other therapeutic modalities, such as:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which is about embracing all aspects of life and committing to values based living.

  • Narrative Therapy, which holds a person as the expert in their own life, listens to their story, and helps them to see the tools they have available to overcome their problems.

  • Systems Based Approaches, which examine the issue in the context of a system of relationships.

We offer both face to face, and telehealth appointments.

 
 

Supervision

At Bloom, we believe in life-long learning. Whether you are a budding psychologist looking for a supervisor, or a more seasoned clinician looking to discuss a complex case, we can arrange primary or secondary supervision to fulfil your needs. Call or message us to discuss if our supervisors are a good fit to meet your requirements. Group supervision is also available on request.

 
 
 

COVID - 19: All our clinicians are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations. Masks can be worn at your own discretion. By default, our clinicians do not wear masks during sessions. If you would feel more comfortable with your clinician wearing a mask during your face to face sessions, we are happy to accommodate your request.
